Our Products Traditional picture framing is our stock and trade and producing quality frames from mouldings available from standard framing materials will always be an integral part of our work.
We stock a good number of custom mouldings, mats and framing materials on the premises and also have access to the same sources of materials as our friends who operate urban framing shops.
RECLAIMED MATERIALS:
We also take an environmentally conscious approach to our work and regularly source materials from demolitions
of local and historic buildings and structures including jetties, bridges, old station structures
and shearing sheds. From these materials we produce and stock a good range of our own natural hardwood mouldings.
Our stocked profiles range from 20 to 120mm wide and are of varying thicknesses.
They are simple and straightforward patterns so as to best show the warm colours and intricate grains
of the timbers themselves. Our stock of timbers changes regularly, dependent upon availability, and can
typically include Northern and Southern Sheoak, Tasmanian Oak, Wandoo and even a bit of New Zealand Rimu.
Western Australian Jarrah, often called Swan River Mahogany, is our mainstay.
If we don't make the size you require as part of our stock we can easily fabricate it for you on premises.
BYO timber is always welcome and in fact represents a substantial part of our business.
RUSTIC FRAMES:
The production of our unique rustic picture frames requires a marriage of the most basic framing techniques
with the latest in modern tooling and framing technology.
The process is complicated and involved and differs from one type of timber to another, with each
frame being unique in its own right.
Please note that the finishes employed are the same as that used on fine furniture.
The end result we seek is to enhance your artwork without overwhelming it.

MIRRORS
Mirrors are one of the most practical pieces of home or office décor. Surrounding them with a natural timber frame,
be it a simple profile or unique rustic shape, can add a special feeling to a room as well as providing
a practicality.
Here in Kalbarri we stock three standard sizes of bevelled mirrors which look great with any of our
local timber profiles, with or without a practical timber shelf.
Alternatively, the choice of timber for a rustic surround can be a bit tricky, as not all rustic material
comes, by nature, in long lengths. Even so we will strive to do our best to source the look you are after.
We can also supply plain and bevelled mirrors in custom sizes from reputable suppliers.
